Clothing the Kids on a Budget!

My husband has a co-worker with a 3 or 4 y/o boy.  It just so happens that he is about one size bigger than my almost 3 year old boy.  She brought me 2 totes FULL of size 3T clothes to go through for him including both summer and winter.  I offered her $100 for both totes and she took it.  It's a good thing this kid has a big closet!  He's now got a complete summer AND winter wardrobe!  Hopefully we'll be able to keep doing this every year!  She was also checking to see if she had any size 6 girls clothes for my daughter :)

  1. Kyler has a lot of hand-me-downs too. One of my aunts had one boy who is probably 10 years older than Kyler (maybe more). She gave me all of his clothes - newborn to 4T so far. The nice thing is that a lot of boy clothes don't go in/out of style all that much. So we have mostly just used hand-me-downs and gifts to clothe Ky, just buying what we need to fill in the gaps.

    1. I just bought Ryan several new outfits a couple weeks ago at the Carter Outlet store. I hate putting them on him b/c they get ruined so fast, especially if he's just going to daycare for the day. I LOVE the hand me downs :) I was REALLY bad about buying Marissa too many clothes when she was a baby, but there was just sooooo much cute stuff! lol.
